Important Disclaimer
This version depicts the campus up to August 5, 2024—the first school day of the 2024–2025 school year. We are aware that the church underwent updates during the first few weeks; however, such changes have not been implemented as they were past the August 5 cutoff date. Like other models, this iteration has not been officially confirmed by the school for accuracy and may contain mistakes.
In 2010, St. John the Evangelist received its second National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award. A few years later, the school began a fundraising campaign to fix problems with its old and undersized gym. The plan included building a full-size gymnatorium, which combined a gym with a performance stage, adding a new fine arts wing, and renovating the parish church.

The new gymnatorium and fine arts wing were completed and dedicated in 2017. That same year, St. John the Evangelist earned its third National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award, becoming the first school in the archdiocese to receive the honor three times. The church renovation was completed in 2018, bringing the fundraising project to an end.
In 2025, St. John the Evangelist School received its fourth National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award for academic performance during the 2023–2024 school year. This placed the school among only 27 schools nationwide to have earned the award four times, out of roughly 130,000 schools across the United States.
